We have an old fashioned green grocers selling fruit, vegetables, biscuits, jams, preserves, pickles and other nice bits to make your lockdown experience a bit more fun. We aim to have this open by 1 May.
We will be starting with a selection of luxury Good Taste award-winning treats but also a range of basics like flour, beans and lentils weighed out and sold in brown paper bags, the old fashioned way. We will also be selling a range of fruit and vegetables.
We hope to expand our product range as people buy our products so please buy from us rather than Tesco or Lidl.
Please support your local economy at this time as things are pretty tough for small businesses at the moment. You are allowed to walk down the high street and buy from small shops.
For bread and delicious hot pies, hot soup to take away and cakes we recommend www.macleansbakery.com which is located at the other end of the High Street.
Macbeth's are doing frozen meals from the a la carte chefs at the Cluny Bank Hotel including vegetarian options
The health food shop is open
Cardamon Spice is open for curries
The Mosset Tavern is offering deliveries of their menu
The Peppermill is doing deliveries on Wednesdays and Saturdays
The Bike Bothy www.thebikebothy.com is still serving amazing take away coffee as well as bags of locally roasted fresh beans.
For other sundries Washington, Sue's News, R S McColl and the local Spar Post Office are well stocked
Pearl's Pets and PALS are both excellent pet shops which are still operational
You can get your basics at the local Coop supermarket
